88.5 FM receives so much music on a daily basis... CDs, downloads, reissues, box sets, cassette tapes, vinyl records and more. Songs are generally chosen by committee at the station, but it's the job of the music director to go through the stacks and stacks with a fine tooth comb. This blog may include major label releases, independent artists, even random submissions for your listening pleasure.

FOXYGEN - LIVIN' A LIE
Is it time for Foxygen to break up? Is this the final album? Does Sam France and Jonathan Rado still have the chemistry? The bloggers are blogging and music fans are buzzing. "Livin' A Lie" was released as the first single from Foxygen's latest album Seeing Other People. It's been known that Rado had been working on many other projects as a producer, with more than a half dozen releases coming out in 2019, France with recent solo performances and the announcement of his own Fascist Records label. One thing we do know... separate or together, these two will never stop making art. Does this hard hitting video give us a glimpse of where their heads are at right now?
MEG MYERS - RUNNING UP THAT HILL
Meg explains, "I always wanted to write my own songs because I knew I could only sing music and lyrics that were truly authentic, from my heart (and also would have to make sense with my deep voice). Well, then I discovered Kate Bush’s 'Running up that Hill,' which for years has resonated with my soul like nothing ever before.... This song to me, represents an opening of our hearts and a possibility of acceptance for all. And to me, this is an important message for the world we are living in right now.”
