With a Twist of Lana

Lana Del Rey’s anticipated follow up to her acclaimed 2019 Album, “ Norman F***ing Rockwell” is, in fact, not an album. Well, it’s kind of an album, but not what you’d expect. An, EP then? No, it’s an audiobook! “Violet Bent Over Backwards in the Grass,” is a spoken word recording of 14 poems by Lana Del Rey accompanied by music from award winning songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff who produced Lana’s “ Norman...” album.

“Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass” has been released as an audiobook download
and is coming October 2 on CD, Vinyl and Picture Disc. Here’s the track listing:

In 1968, on Mick Jagger’s 25th birthday, London Records objected strenuously to the graffiti-scrawled, sleazy restroom wall cover of The Rolling Stones’ Beggar’s Banquet album and postponed the release date until it was suitably altered.

In 1979, The “newest selling tool for rock” was the promotional video proclaimed an article in Rolling Stone magazine that cited “Boys Keep Swinging” by David Bowie and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
