This marks the first full length LP for the Chicago-based band, following their debut EP This House Is Made Of Corners

In a hand written bio from 2023, Leavins, who is originally from Texas, describes the band as “bringing a timeless cinematic aesthetic to modern rock & pop world” and it explains that the bands name came from a paper Levins had written in highchool, in which he chose Brigitte Bardot.

When discussing writing the song “We Were Never Alive” in the interview with Mookie, Leavins provides insight onto the underlying meaning of the shortness of life, and what inspired the lyrics. “the title came from a phrase or a quote i had heard someone say…. ‘Everyone that knows you dies and no one mentions your name anymore’ It’s almost as if you were never alive, and that’s where the idea came from.”
