Outlaw Festival – October 21 at the Hollywood Bowl
Last Wednesday, Blackbird Presents announced that the 2018 Outlaw Festival is making its way to Los Angeles this October, adding the Hollywood Bowl to the second leg of the tour. Started in 2016, the Outlaw Festival began touring in 2017 due to increasing demand. The show at the Bowl will boast legendary acts like Willie Nelson and Family and Phil Lesh and Friends. Also on the bill is Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real and Particle Kid. Tickets go on sale Saturday August 4 at 10 a.m.
John Butler Trio – December 14 at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel
A November and December North American tour will trail the award-winning Australian trio’s anticipated September 28 album release of ‘HOME’. ‘HOME’ is the band’s seventh studio album and their first in four years since ‘Flesh & Blood’ in February of 2014. Presale tickets available Thursday August 9 at 10 a.m.
Colter Wall – December 14 at the El Rey Theatre
Country -Folk artist Colter Wall’s “Rumble and Roar” tour heads to the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles this December. The 23-year-old from the small town of Swift Current in Saskatchewan, Canada boasts the voice of a seasoned artist, the likes of Johnny Cash and Tom Waits. His upcoming album ‘Songs of the Plains’ produced by Grammy-winning legend Dave Cobb is set to release October 12. It tells the stories of his home and his Western heritage in rural Canada.
