Morrissey – November 1 at the Microsoft Theater
Morrissey, former frontman of the iconic British band The Smiths, will be back in Los Angeles this November. On November 1, Morrissey will headline the Microsoft Theater with special guest, female rock legend, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. Since his departure from The Smith’s, Morrissey has released nearly fifty singles and twelve top-ten records, many hitting number one on the United Kingdom charts. Los Angeles has a large Morrissey fanbase; hence Morrissey Day in Los Angeles on November 10, 2017 was declared shortly after the artists sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl. It has been nearly a year since the release of Low In High School and the album still ranks on Billboards Top 200 list.
Surprise Announcement: Broken Social Scene – September 30 at the Troubadour
Leading up to their performance this Saturday at the Music Tastes Good festival, Canadian indie-rock outfit Broken Social Scene has announced a surprise pop-up show at the Troubadour on Sunday, September 30.
A Very She & Him Christmas Party – December 6 at The Wiltern
She & Him, comprised of New Girl’s Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward (Matthew Ward) began performing as a duo in Portland in 2006. Since then She & Him have released six studio albums together. In 2011 the pair debuted A Very She & Him Christmas, where they covered countless holiday classics with indie flair, even featuring the ukulele and organ on some of the tracks. The two will take to the stage for A Very She & Him Christmas Party, one night only at The Wiltern on December 6.

The California Honeydrops – December 21 at the Teragram Ballroom
Oakland natives, The California Honeydrops began by performing in subway stations and have now toured with legendary artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy and the late B.B. King. The group has developed a reputation for getting the audience moving with their funky bluesy tunes. The California Honeydrops will be shaking up the house at the Teragram Ballroom just outside of DTLA.
