Today is Election Day! Although there aren't any national races to watch this year, there are plenty closer to home. In honor of the day, Drive-By Truckers have released "The Perilous Night", which recounts the last election day and what has happened since. The song will be released as a 7" (with "What It Means" live at Newport Folk Festival on the B-Side) and proceeds go to Southern Poverty Law Center.
