The Los Angeles, early-80s, new-wave band that brought you the ever-appealing “We Got The Beat,” The Go-Go’s, unveil their first new song in nearly 20 years; it is titled “Club Zero,” released via UMe.
Although the song was written pre-pandemic, their methods are similar to methods used today among musicians in the current climate; “Club Zero” was written by the band members through various emails between LA and San Francisco, eventually being recorded in a similar fashion. Even though the song was created in a more modern way, none of this compromised their classic, authentic rockin’ sound.
An early version of the song can be heard in the documentary, “The Go-Go’s,” which premiered on August 1st and is now available through Showtime.
