 Singer/songwriter Olivia Barton joins Middays host Julie Slater and performs 3 songs at at The SoCal Sound before her show at Troubadour, Hollywood. She plays Sonic, Cartwheel, & Big Sad. and discusses the process of recording her new EP Big Sad. 

Originally from Florida, now living in Nashville, Olivia's self-described "stream of consciousness" writing style has been said to sound more like journal entries - because they are!

After the viral success of co-writing the song if i were a fish with Olivia's partner corook, she discusses navigating through such fast internet stardom, as well as being in a relationship with another touring performing artist. Also how all of this has led to the development of a new children's book based on "If I Were a Fish"!

Olivia Barton Big Sad - EP is out now, as well as the children's book "If I Were A Fish". Olivia is currently working on a new album, as well as looking forward to going on a winter tour with Madi Diaz.
