Pete Yorn Session with Nic Harcourt + Jet
Discussing the new album The Hard Way
Recorded in The SoCal Sound Studios, performing 3 songs + Interview LIVE ON THE AIR during the Morning Show
Pete Yorn is no stranger to The SoCal Sound! He headlined our SoCal Sound ‘Benefest’ concert in July 2024, performed at an exclusive SoCal Sound exclusive subscribers only event at No Vacancy (watch here), as well as previous in studio sessions that go way back with The SoCal Sound
Pete is now back, this time in studio and LIVE over the air with morning show hosts Nic Harcourt + Jet, discussing his new album The Hard Way.
Pete explains to Nic that this album comes from a place of introspection, from some significant life events that occurred in his life which caused him to completely pivot the way that he approached life in general.
Pete; “out of no where, I was like face to face with my own mortality. And so that forces you to rise above it and figure out new ways to look at life and change the way you would react to things normally and change kind of what you’re doing. Everything that worked leading up to it… it started coming out in the songs… It’s not a bummer record! The Title comes from change is hard but commit to something and you want to make your life better for everyone around you, including yourself, and you have no choice but to do that. Then it’s a hard road… all these songs are kind of informed by that in different ways”
Pete Yorn performed 3 songs; “Someday, Someday”, “Real Good Love”, “The Hard Way”
