Bryan Devendorf, drummer for The National has entered the spotlight with a new project, called “Royal Green” with Bryan singing lead vocals. The band’s self-titled debut album is now available digitally with vinyl due out on December 11. More info here.
“Royal Green” features both original songs and covers including tunes by Bob Dylan, George Harrison, the Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. He also puts his own unique spin on The National’s “Halo Chagrin.” The first single “Breaking The River” with Devendorf on drums and vocals, features his The National bandmate Aaron Dessner on guitar.
