Tristan Dolce Session with Nic Harcourt
Discussing the new album Medium True
Recorded in The SoCal Sound Studios, performing 3 songs + Interview
Tristan Dolce has a full length LP, released last fall titled Medium True and he joins Morning Show host Nic Harcourt for an interview!
Between recording and mixing ALL of The SoCal Sound sessions, Tristan works as a freelance audio engineer and producer, often working on developing other people’s projects, but this marks his first album own name Tristan Dolce, previous projects include Alisal and From Cities to Oceans.
Discussing his writing style during the interview with Nic Harcourt, “It came from a need to get something a feeling out or an idea out on tape. I'd have an idea about something in life and create a story about it, like write a short story about it. I've always liked storytelling it’s like my favorite thing, and I love to be able to write a story in song form, to write about hidden things hidden in plain sight. The world has a lot to show us when we're not paying attention, there are so many things that if you look at it the right way you see more than what you do at a glance and I like to write songs about those hidden things. If you go far enough behind the the hedge there's something there, if not, it's a hallucination or maybe there is something beyond what we can see.”
Tristan Dolce is joined with Max Knouse on guitar, Chase Burnett on bass, Hoser Rodriguez on drums, colorfully performing 3 songs in studio; “Willow Springs”, “Reservoir”, “King of the Arroyo”
