Gary Calamar brings his special brand of “adventurous pop music both timely and timeless” to the airwaves at 885FM and TheSoCalSound.org every Sunday evening from 4-6PM (PT).
When not behind the microphone, Gary is a five time Grammy nominated producer and music supervisor who has overseen the music on some of the most acclaimed and popular shows on television including “Six Feet Under”, “True Blood”, “Dexter”, “Entourage”, “Weeds”, “House” and “The Man In The High Castle”. Gary’s current television projects include “3 Body Problem” (Netflix) and “Somebody Somewhere” (HBO/MAX).
Gary is also a songwriter who co-wrote the song “Let’s Boot and Rally” performed by Iggy Pop and Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast) as well as the co-author of the book “Record Store Days”.
