Bob Goodman is a NYC native living in Southern California. He started his broadcast career during the Golden Age of FM and continues to share his passion for great tunes with Super Sounds Of The 70’s as his vehicle…

Bob has had 2 distinct broadcasting careers with a 20 year break in between. He’s been a student of Radio Broadcasting since he was old enough to carry around a Transistor Radio in his pocket and an earphone stuck in one of his ears decades before iPods made it fashionable. His on air career started with the Campus Radio Station of Hunter College in NYC where he was General Manager and subsequently co- founder of the City University Radio Network. His professional career began on Long Island, NY at WRCN AM & FM where he eventually became Music Director. Next stop was a brief encounter with the West Coast doing overnights at KSRF FM in Santa Monica. Eventually moving back to Long Island at WLIX AM in Islip. His last on air gig before taking a 25 year sabbatical was with Quad 104 WYSP FM in Philadelphia, doing weekend mornings. He left because the consultants were slowly removing any artistic freedom curating the music.

His other career as National Sales Manager with the iconic JBL Loudspeaker Company brought him back to Southern California where in January 2001 he was given an air shift on Saddleback College’s KSBR 88.5 and started the concept of "Whole 'Nuther Thing", which ran continuously on 88.5 HD1 & HD2 for over 20 years. Bob, comes full circle, returning to Sunday Afternoons, hosting and curating Super Sounds Of The 70’s. Bob lives in Laguna Niguel with his wife Es and Golden Retriever, Murphy Brown. His license plate is appropriately “SPIN2NZ”
